Andrew WalkerScottish artist Andrew Walker was born in Aberdeen in 1959 and trained at Edinburgh College of Art from 1977-1981, gaining a BA Honours in Drawing and Painting. Since then he has held many solo exhibitions throughout the UK and has received various awards for his work.
Walker's work is represented by galleries in London, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Cambridge. He has work in museum collections in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and the Scottish Borders where he lives. In 1996 Andrew Walker won a scholarship to spend several months painting in the Languedoc region of Southern France. Since then he has returned many times to the same hillside villages and vineyards to paint. The resulting works have been exhibited to great acclaim throughout the UK and have been purchased by collectors and found their way to foreign lands such as Australia, Hong Kong, the USA, Singapore and New Zealand. |
