And the lucky winner
is......Ms Diana Busk who won the La Garrigue monthly prize of a meal for 2
with wine...Congratulations!!!
I know this will not come as a surprise to many people; but I am really beginning to enjoy running one restaurant again. I am now able to focus on one unit, to listen more carefully to the feedback I received from customers and staff, to review the menus and wine lists, to plan special events, to work on the marketing and advertising, to get to know and appreciate more the people working with me, to identify strengths and areas for improvement....maybe I am going to become a better manager myself!!!
I want to take this opportunity to thank Morgan and Angelo in the restaurant as well as Victor and Gary in the kitchen who are great assets to the business and facilitate the inclusion of the newcomers, Loic and Alexandre in the kitchen; Charlotte and Charlaine in front of house. I can see the team is really beginning to gel....... Just as well because as well as the day to day business, we have quite a few events coming our way.
The second stage of our Tour de France Gastronomique will take us to Burgundy on the 30th of April. My good friend Phillipe Larue form L’Art Du Vin has chosen some really pleasant wines for this dinner and hopes to join us for the evening. Victor, Gary and Loic have designed a well balanced menu ...with a little help from the “Old Man” of course...
But before that...TONIGHT we have Domaine Haut Gleon wine tasting and dinner, this promises to be a very special evening with some of the best wine from the Corbiere. We may be able to squeeze you in, so if you would like the last table please call. There is always space for a good friend!
Now, what about this dinner in Provence; the third stage of our Tour de France....? I need to taste this bottle of Bellet Rose from the Comte De Nice....
Bonne soiree...A bientot,
J-Michel.
