Dear Friends of La Garrigue
I cannot believe we are only a few weeks away from Christmas. This is the time of the year when Edinburgh sparkles and looks its best. Princess Street Gardens, George Street, the Royal Mile, St Andrew’s Square are beginning to transform themselves into the Winter Wonderland we all come to expect at this time of the year. Another few days and we will start with our festive parties and winter menus but before this we have to close this month of November with sadness that has marred 2015.
The events in Paris, and Bamako, have saddened us all but let’s hope they will serve to unite our countries in finding a solution to theses barbaric and revolting actions.
The highlight of the month at La Garrigue was the reunion of some of the wine tour members, old friends and regulars customers; it was nice to see so many of you and I enjoyed your company talking about the last 15 years and the last wine tours in Languedoc while sipping a glass of wine or two. It was also a great opportunity to present Morgan and his wife Weiwei in their new role of directors of La Garrigue. I can now sleep easier as the future of La Garrigue is in good hands and I can start to think about slowing down a little bit ...but not to much! This will give me the opportunity to engage more on the Languedoc wine tours and make them a monthly event starting in April. I am still working on fine tuning the dates and will publish them very soon now, in time for you to plan your holidays for 2016. I am thrilled to be in a position to announce not the end, but the start of a new chapter for La Garrigue and I am looking forward to see it grow and prosper thanks to the new energy and ideas that Weiwei and Morgan will bring to the business.
I would like to remind you that we can also help you with your stocking fillers for your family, close friends or work colleagues. From a traditional gift voucher to a Bottle of La Garrigue especially bottled Malt Whisky of Bruichladdich, or a presentation box of Pousse Rapiere, the “cocktail Du Patron” or a signed cookery book featuring La Garrigue signature dishes.
This year again La Garrigue will be ready to welcome you and your friends every day through December including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and of course Hogmanay. Please do not feel to concerned about us as we will take some time off in January....maybe!!
Time for me to go now, I will be in touch soon again, but hope to see you at La Garrigue before the end of the year ..if not sooner.
In the meantime raise your glass to peace, friendship, respect and tolerance!
Have a great Christmas.
