Dear Friends of La Garrigue
==========
Mes Amis Bonjour!
I am just back for the last wine tour in Languedoc this year and thought to give you an update of some coming up events and happenings at La Garrigue.
I am happy to see that the new team is gelling well and that Morgan looked after you while I was away. The trip went well and once again Karen put me on a strict diet as soon as we landed in Edinburgh! The highlight of the trip this time was a day cruise on the Canal Du Midi with wine tasting and a very pleasant lunch on a very hot day, before resuming our tour with a dinner in the cellar of Catherine Roques from the Mas D’Alezon at Faugeres. I am already making plants for the 2016 trips with April just about fully booked already. I managed to bring back some of my favourite Roquefort cheese; Les Templiers, available at La Garrigue for the next couple of days, as well as a good range of local charcuterie.
Following our wine tasting at the prestigious Domaine of Daumas Gassac , I hope some of you will join us for a special dinner hosted by Samuel Guibert , the wine maker from the Daumas Gassac estate on the 14th of October as I still have a few spaces left. It is an unique opportunity to meet Samuel and to share a few good bottles with him.
In November I will organise a reunion evening for all the Friends who joined me on the Languedoc wine tour the last few years. Wednesday the 18th seems like a good date for that event, so if it fits with your time schedule please give me a call.
Then December will be upon us, possibly the busiest time of the year. Our office parties menu is now on line for your information. We will be opening again this year for Christmas Day with two services , the first one for 12/12.30 pm and the second for 4/4.30 pm. I have already booked my table for that day as I want to share it with my Granddaughter and family, while keeping an eye on the restaurant and sharing a glass of bubbly with you, should you decide to join us.
I think there is a rugby match starting soon; France playing Canada ... could be interesting! So I am going to put on my French Rugby top, pour myself a large glass of wine and enjoy the game..
A bientot,
J-Michel
